Best dog park in KW area! I sometimes wish there was other dogs to play with mine, but there is usually 1 or 2 when I go, which I think is usually just enough to play! I have never seen a \"bad\" dog at this park either. This is definitely for serious dog park people. Love the walk in on a nice day and my dog needs that walk before and after the park.

This is by far the best park in the KW area. I have been to all of them, and there is a lot of space here - huge benefit that there is a small dog area for those of us with bigger pooches. Well cared for, and despite the sign, it is open during the winter!

Kiwanis dog park is the best park I have been to. The size of the park is fantastic and having a separate park for smaller dogs is perfect (predatory drift). The downside are some of the deep holes and small stumps throughout the park that can cause serious injury.

A bit remote, ca 1 km walk from parking lot to dog park, but that somewhat limits it to dogs whose people are serious about dogs. Supposedly closed Dec - March but the gate has been open all winter (2011-12)

You spelled the name of the park wrong; it\'s a bit disconcerting eh.

Loved this park! It's big with treed areas, open and grassy areas with paths cut through. There's a small dog area. I loved that it was a walk to it, my dogs have energy that they can afford to get rid of before we get into the park! The dogs loved it too, they just wish they had some company! It doesn't look like it gets used very often, which could be a good thing if you want a quiet walk, but they like to play with other dogs! I encourage more people to go!

Quiet and peaceful. Not usually very busy. Just made in 2010, so still new. Went in the summer and the vegetation was was left tall (waist height) with a cut out walking path, similar to a maze. Grass is pretty hard, so shoes recommended.

Smaller area than Mclennon and Kiwanis. Can get easily overcrowded. Dogs are generally a little more rambunctious here and people are generally less attentive. Large trash cans are usually uncovered and located inside the dog park. This can sometimes cause an ill odor in the warmer seasons.

We've been there once with our dog (22 lb mixed breed), and had a decent experience. Just a warning though, people need to walk, and keep moving! If you stand around you create "territories" which dogs tend to protect. This is a beautiful dog park, but people ruin it by standing around and chatting. Our neighbour has a small dog that he was walking there yesterday, that was attacked by a husky and is clinging to life right now! The owners of the husky fled the scene and offered no help.

I own a chihuahua - very outgoing and social. He loves this park but unfortunately came across 2 separate instances where large dogs attacked him upon entry to the park. The owners had no verbal control over their dogs which obviously creates a potentially dangerous situation. For that reason, small dog owners should be cautious at all times. We no longer go, but overall the park is fine for medium to large dogs. Just be wary and don't assume all dogs are properly trained or socialized.

Went there for the first time tonight. LOVED it! The owners seemed to be super friendly and my puppy loved it! Its a good size and I like the fact that there is trees for shade too :)

Drove out there from the Milton area to meet up with a friend and her dog and ABSOLUTELY LOVED This dog park! We've been to a couple now and by far this park gets outstanding reviews from us! My little guy LOVED it there! Wooded/bushy area, water pump to refill water, shade, seating areas, and lots of new buddies to meet and play with! Can't wait to go back! :) Wish that ALL dog parks were like this! :)

i have been using this park for over a year, i have pugs, at one point it wasnt too busy, after all the work that has been done it is crazy busy, i took my dogs there, there was soo many large dogs, they love chasing small dogs, not impressed with the cedar chips, i find theres more bugs, more fights, not as peaceful

My favorite dog park to visit. Large enough open space to not feel crowded but not too big that you'll lose sight of your dog. The wooded area really makes it feel more natural. People are generally attentive to their dog, but it will varies. Popular with big and small dogs. Poop bags available BUT not always refilled. This park usually has occupants no matter when you visit. Weekends are really busy.

It doesn't have to be an "official" off-leash park, any dog friendly area has its place on our website. If you feel comfortable taking your dog there and have good experiences then we want to hear about the place! Thank you all for the updates.
